Assignment 7 : the fair
Presenting your company on a fair – some tips
Make your stall/booth attractive and professional. Make sure it’s in style with your company. Use several visuals (digital, paper, hand-out etc). You will need to make sure that everything you need, is available. Be well-prepared!
The people who will represent your company have to be styled according to your business style (+name tags!) and should, of course, be able to answer all sorts of questions about what you’re selling. Needless to say, they are the face of your company, so they need to look professional and well-groomed. And they have to be enthusiastic.
Make sure that people who are interested are able to remember your company – make flyer (ditally) with your website on it, so people can contact you.
Think about an attractive aspect; for a hotel or restaurant, food is important and something that can easily draw attention to your stall. So, you could think about something people can taste to represent your company.
Note: All the hotels in our group of CE, will bring a dish from their high tea menu to taste. Together we need to have a varied scale of high tea products, so you need to talk to other hotels about what they’ll be brining!
Take a picture of your group at the fair to put on your blog!
Make sure you have discussed what the main focus of your story (you need to tell people the same things) about the hotel is.
Also make sure you have:
*nametags (with the name of the hotel!)
* a handout (flyer with contact information and the website)
* some food that is in style with your hotel
* a few props that show the style of your hotel
